• Teacher and Friend

Sandra was my art teacher & friend. She tried to keep us old ladies in line, but it was a struggle for her. We couldn't be kept in line or within the lines. But each of us loved Sandra greatly & tried to be good students so she would continue to work with us. I admired Sandra, the person, that she had so much patience with us. Most of all, tho, we had fun. We shared food, ideas, memories, fashion statements, jokes, discussions, birthdays. It was good times! There was nothing we wouldn't have done for Sandra.— Connie

  • Gentle Soul

Sandra was the most gentle of souls. She did a bronze Sculptor of one of my husband, Don Nedobeck's cats. She was a joy to be with. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. I'm, sure she and Don are having fun collaborating in Heaven. www.nedobeck.com

  • Beautiful Spirit

My story of Sandra began nine years ago. Some of my classmates and I were attending a memorial service for our late Art teacher and friend, Brenda (Gunderson) Star. Sandra was in attendance as well, and as we talked about our art futures, Sandra offered without hesitation to continue teaching us. That selfless gesture alone speaks so eloquently to Sandra's innate kindness.

We started classes at The Old House Cafe (thank you, Colette!) and then moved on to Victoria Gardens. The best times followed, full of learning, laughing, sharing our lives, the joys and sorrows, celebrating birthdays and Holidays. We called it our “Salon” and we truly became Sisters over the years. On one occasion we took a field trip to Smyrna Dunes Park to view Sandra's finished mural and then enjoy lunch at Cafe Verde, Sandra's favorite. It was such good times.

Sandra's greatest gift of all to the Sisters was attending the lawn and porch party we arranged to celebrate her birthday last November. We laughed and talked as always and Sandra added a lesson on abstract painting as well! The memory of that day is very special. Reading her lessons here brings a smile and recalls a lot of our classes together.

Sandra is a beautiful spirit and strong woman whose gift of friendship and love continues to inspire me. Her spirit is free but she continues to be present in the lives of all those who knew and loved her.

  • Wonderful Person

Sandra was a wonderful person. We met her in 2002 when she did a beautiful mural in our home.. We loved it and took it with us from home to home when we got into the home that we are in now.She painted our ceiling and it was just beautiful.I get to enjoy it everyday. And when my first grand baby was born she did a beautiful lion king mural that is just amazing. She was so kind so sweet. So gentle, and so honest.

This world we live in will miss as do I. Rest in peace Sanda know you touched so many lives ..I will always treasure the beautiful art work you did for our family.
